Washing Instructions
Keeping your t-shirt in good condition will not only make you look great, but will save you money in the long run.
Make sure you read the care instruction on the t-shirt label. This is the best way to look after your t-shirt
Here are a few to do, before you put your t-shirt in the wash.
Read the washing instructions
Read the washing instruction on the label of the t-shirt. They are easy to find, generally on the neck label. It will detail the t-shirt brand, general washing instructions and what not to do with your t-shirt, like tumble drying. We do supply extra care instructions with all digitally printed garments, so read them carefully and follow these conditions as well.
Wash t-shirts inside out
The most important thing you can do to preserve the life of your t-shirt is to wash them inside out. Turn the shirt inside out before placing it in the washing machine.
Warm or cold machine wash
Hot water is NOT recommended for t-shirts. Warm or cold is best. In Australia we have a relatively warm climate, so our tap water is considered warm.
Wash with like colours
Never wash your white t-shirts with blacks, reds or any dark colours. Wash only whites together and wash your dark colours together.
Do not tumble dry.
Tumble drying will shrink most cotton t-shirts.
Hang out to dry
Simply hang your t-shirts out to dry and leave them inside out until dry. Hang it out immediately, don’t leave it in the washing machine for an extended period of time. If you are hanging then in direct sunlight, make sure it’s inside out to reduce the effect of fading.
Iron Inside Out
Printed t-shirts should not be ironed on directly as this will damage the print. It is recommended that you iron all prints inside out using a medium to hot iron.
Do Not Dry Clean
Do not dry clean t-shirts; it’s not the right type of material for this type of cleaning process.
